Zach and Heidi are serving with Campus Ambassadors at Willamette University in Salem, OR. They are discipling young men and women, leading Bible studies and training students to become Christian servants in leadership, sent out to share Christ’s love around the world.
Zach enrolled at Central Washington University in 2007 school year, where he learned what it meant to be a follower of Jesus Christ through Campus Ambassadors. When it came time to graduate, with much prayer he decided to join staff full time so he could reach students and lead them to a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ.
Heidi was a part of campus ministry during her college years and saw how impactful that stage of life is. She loves discipling women, Bible studies, and any opportunity to share Christ.
Having a Christian background provided Zach with a firm foundation to stand on. He gave his whole life to Christ and made his faith his own during his senior year of high school, when he discovered he was in need of a Savior. That need caused him to turn to the only place he knew to turn for help, which was the love and mercy of Jesus Christ. He continues to grow in his relationship with God.
In December of his freshmen year of college, he realized God was calling him to ministry, specifically youth ministry. He told his youth pastor about God’s call and was encouraged to get involved in a church and a campus ministry at school. Today Zach believes that God has confirmed the call to spend his life in ministry for God.
Heidi grew up in a Christian household and prayed to receive Christ with her parents when she was 5 years old. Entering junior high she attended a small summer Bible camps and realized there she wanted to serve her Savior and Lord and dedicated her life to His call. After recommitting to Christ, Heidi hungered for the Lord and began to dig deeply into His Word and learn more about Jesus. She continues to this day learning to pursue Him as He pursues us.
